Ukrainian IoT Startup Uniot Wins $25K at YEP Accelerator Demo Day
The Kyiv-based company’s low-code platform for smart devices beat eight other startups to take home a $25K grant and entry into two high-profile founder networks.

KYIV, Ukraine — 30 July 2024
Ukrainian startup Uniot has secured a $25,000 grant after winning the YEP Accelerator Demo Day, the finale of the program’s fifth batch for early-stage ventures. The company develops a low-code Internet of Things (IoT) platform that allows developers to visually design device logic, simulate behavior without hardware, and deploy scenarios directly to devices — even in offline mode.
Alongside the grant, Uniot will join the Mazepa League, a community of Ukrainian founders with clients in the U.S. market that helps participants negotiate with venture funds and advance their startups. The team will also be added to the deal flow of Plug and Play Tech Center, one of the world’s largest startup accelerators.
“These past few months felt like a marathon — but we know it was just one sprint in a much longer race,” the team wrote on LinkedIn.
Uniot plans to use the funding to complete its platform’s stable release, launch a marketing strategy, expand user acquisition, and prepare for scaling. The platform’s current beta version supports one dashboard, three devices, five scripts, and offers community support. Features include a visual drag-and-drop or code editor, real-time simulation and testing, remote dashboards, device-to-device communication, and a scalable production framework.
The summer batch’s nine finalists also included CaseResearchAI, MyHome, Codewius, Obriy.ai, Markit.now, HEFT, Atelier Automatique, and DjookyX. The jury featured representatives from SMOK Ventures, Geek Ventures, Flyer One Ventures, ZAS Ventures, EIT Community, and Plug and Play, with Dan Tyre — one of HubSpot’s first employees and a YEP mentor — urging investors to more actively back Ukrainian startups.
Other prizes awarded at Demo Day included tickets to Slush, a residency at LIFT99 Kyiv Hub, and entry to the IT Arena semifinals for selected participants.
“To the jury — we’re honored by your choice. And we’ll keep working hard to prove you right,” the team added.
The YEP program is supported by the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund’s u.ventures, the Ukrainian Startup Fund, Cisco, Genesis Tech, and LIFT99 Kyiv Hub.
